About Douglas G. Miller

Douglas G. Miller, Esquire

Douglas G. Miller has been practicing law in the Carlisle area for over 20 years. He concentrates his law practice in the areas of estates and estate planning, real estate, business planning, and family law.

Doug received his Juris Doctor from The Dickinson School of Law, where he was inducted as a member of The Woolsack Honor Society. He is originally from Carlisle but attended Penn Manor High School in Lancaster County and received his undergraduate degree in 1996 from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania, magna cum laude. 

Doug originally was hired as a law clerk at Irwin, McKnight & Hughes while attending law school. He accepted an offer to be an attorney there after passing the Pennsylvania bar exam, and ultimately worked his way up to become a shareholder with the law firm eventually known as Irwin & McKnight, P.C.

He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Cumberland County Bar Association. He is a licensed title agent in Pennsylvania and for decades has been representing clients in real estate settlements as an approved attorney. Mr. Miller has been a faculty panel member with the National Business Institute on issues of probate law and estate administration. In both 2011 and 2012 he was voted the Harrisburg Magazine Readers’ Choice Family Law Attorney.

Doug has volunteered and served on various local committees and community and church groups, and is currently a board member and secretary of the Capital Area Pregnancy Centers, Inc. He and his wife Kelly have resided in Cumberland County since 1997 and are the proud parents of four children.
